France’s Dunkirk LNG hits reaches daily send out milestone France’s Dunkirk liquefied natural gas(LNG)import terminal reached a milestone last week as it hit a record daily send out volumes.
In a brief statement through its social media channels,Dunkerque LNG,the terminal operator,said the daily send out volumes to the gas grid hit326GWh on Friday,December14.
The facility reopenedon November13,following a lengthy maintenance and reloading capacity upgrade shutdown since the beginning of August.
The operator’s spokeswoman told LNG World News that two LNG carriers unloaded at the facility early December with two more cargoes expected.
No reloads have yet been completed due to the spread between Asia and Europe not favoring reloading activity.The upgraded reloading capacity will be put through its paces early next year,the spokeswoman said.
Commissionedin January2017,the Dunkirk LNG terminal is one of Continental Europe’s largest LNG terminals.
It has an annual regasification capacity of13billion cubic meters of natural gas,or about20percent of France and Belgium’s gas demand.
